Our friends at the Victorian Historic Racing Register held their annual Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport this past March 8th-10th. Racing enthusiasts from all over the state made their way down to participate in the biggest historic motorsport event in the Southern Hemisphere. With over 400 historic racing cars in period-correct liveries on display across 11 different Motorsport Australia-sanctioned categories, all who came took a trip down memory lane on this memorable weekend.
This year’s event was a grand success, from walking through garages and talking to the drivers to the simple joy of soaking up the wonderful sounds and smells of yesteryear. The ongoing support of The Male Bag Foundation allowed guests to donate to our cause by purchasing a Hot Lap of the Phillip Island circuit in one of several spectacular cars, with 100% of the proceeds going to the foundation. This year, the Hot Laps raised $5250 in fundraising.
Many thanks to the VHRR for having us. We can’t wait for next year!
